Massive traffic jam in the commute lane,
amidst construction, cars stalled in all four directions,
at the foot of University Avenue and the Berkeley Marina,
where three wild turkey toms celebrated annual spring rites,
with gallopavo powwows right in the middle of the intersection,
tracking the sun with splayed iridescent fantails, chest-bumping
rivals into submission while the unimpressed hens look on.
