The world as we knew it

It’s hard to fathom that yet another year has rolled by. Here we are, still in sequestration, more or less, as the latest variant of Covid rolls through us. We no longer get the news as to how many people have died worldwide. But at least 800,000 US deaths related to Covid have been recorded during the past two years. I have been vaccinated three times since a year ago, January, and the last booster shot will not protect us from the workarounds of the latest version of the virus. When this all began in March 2020, I saw the writing on the wall, that darkness, the world, as we knew it, will never return again.
