BEGIN AGAIN AFTER THE STORM
A deluge of rain,
lost salmon return to streams,
nosing natal beds.
Creeks roil and churn, froth
a muddy milkshake of foam
and new beginnings.
Fish traverse rapids,
seek natal pools they build redds.
Storm scours them clean.
