Pre travel blues and reds

Well, I sort of dyed my hair red, as if in anticipation of of a redheaded friend’s floozy night out. Or Halloween. It began innocently enough, I got this non-soap shampoo called Cleanditioner, with temporary subtle red coloring that theoretically washes out—but, what I didn’t realize was that the tank was nearly out of water. And there I was trying to get it out of my hair. No water. Temporary, myazz. What a long strange day it has been. I will spare you the details of discovering how I found out we were out of water while I was trying to shower and to wash my clothes—I thought the washing machine broke. So I kept rerunning the load which came out dry every time. So now I have soapy dirty clothes, and I need them for my upcoming trip. I am also now a blazing carrot top. I look like Bozo the Clown. And to add insult to injury, we are finally getting our first real rain after many months of serious drought. Had I known the weather forecast, I would’ve just run out in the rain buckass nekkid like Boudicca, just to rinse my hair, while waving my grubby clothes at the moon. Hoping for a reprieve. Meanwhile my best travel jeans look like they scored a one-way ticket to Tijuana. Too bad I gave away my cowboy boots, is all I can say.
