trot down Sir Francis Drake Boulevard,
midday, in the tiny hamlet of Forest Knolls,
looking over his shoulder, watching for cars,
before turning up Tamal Road,
headed for home as if he lived there.
I kept looking for Road Runner,
knowing I was in the wrong cartoon.
