Day 8 kid poetry class, introducing art, I used my iPad as a 2nd Zoom camera. I was gobsmacked! A mother-of-invention kind of moment. After two hours of teaching, it was like a wall of exhaustion descending. The challenge of teaching poetry for two hours straight to 4th graders (with a 15-minute break) plus the added impromptu bonus of teaching a visual arts component nearly capsized my boat. That little iPad “accident” saved me some dough. Not to mention some sanity. I nearly bought one of those stand-alone book scanners that you can use as a zoom camera to project images. But somehow we managed.
