NIGHT BLOOMING CEREUS

During the total eclipse on the Big Island,
I found a night-blooming cereus blossom,
but because morning was an extended night,
it stayed open all throughout the day,
it didn't wilt, so I wore it in my hair,
the fragile blossom was the size of a saucer,
and the narcotic scent was heavenly.
I let it drift in the sea with the maninni,
small fish that circled me like a swirl of fall leaves.
Then I let it go on the tide.
