Dirtbags, all...nothing like Marin County dirt.  Franciscan strata. Baths were Saturday night, whether or not you needed it, and since water was scarce, the eldest went in first, followed by the next, and the next, until the water could walk out of the tub on its own.

None of this single person per tubful bathing nonsense, and certainly not showers.

They are even dirtier in other photos! They weren't afraid to play in the dirt or eat mudpies.
