CANTINFLAS THE CAT

My mom had a Burmese-Abyssinian cat,
called Cantinflas, after an old friend,
who was fascinated by water.
He lounged in the tub, a dark comma,
and watch us with jade eyes.
He'd serenade us with a rough song.
Or take a dip when we were bathing.
The toilet, the tub, and the kitchen sink
were his stage.
