Walsh Tombs: Photos

These photos are of the Bantry Bay Walsh family plots in Austin Nevada. In 1985, I traveled with my grandmother, Jennie Walsh Reilly and my uncle John Reilly to Austin to visit Home Ranch, where she lived as a young wonan, with her uncles Patrick, David and Bill Walsh, (a half-brother .)

Joe Walsh has created a Nevada Walsh website.

Hello!!!!! You don't know me but, my name is Jennifer Walsh Harwell. I have been doing family research on my Walsh side. I knew a little about my great great grandfather David Walsh, that he was one of 3 brothers that settled in Austin, Nevada. I knew a little about the ranch, and that he was killed in a mining accident. His wife Julia moved their family to Jersey City, New Jersey, where my father was later born in 1947. I began my family search via ancestry.com over the summer and kept running into dead ends with my great great grandfather. Somehow or another while doing another search, your blog appeared!! And here I am staring at what I think is my great great grandfathers tombstone!! I am so amazed right now! thanks for being such a great recorder of history. I am hoping to do the same for my family. I live in Florida, and would love to actually travel to the Home Ranch. I have a 2nd cousin from New Jersey that actually did go for a visit. THANK-YOU SOOOOOOO much!!! Would love to hear anything you know about the passing and life of my great great grandfather. Blessings, Jennifer

And I've been posting the Walsh tree on Geni and Ancestry.com. when you send me an email, I'll send an invite for you to join my Geni tree. I don't know if this link will work w/o an invite.

I did find some stuff on David—we knew he was killed in the mines—my grandmother talked about him—but we had no idea he had a family.

But I found a reference and plugged in what I found. Please include maiden names and any other info.

Your 3rd cousin?, Maureen
